Less than 17k on clock replace ARB Bushes?

Had MOT done yesterday on my now 4 year old RRSport HSE and the MOT mentions in Advisory Information that both sides of front ARB has slight play in pin/bushes.

I do notice some clonking when on cold starts so assume this is what is causing it.

Dealer told me my Landrover Extended Warranty doesn't cover it as wear & tear and would cost approx £250.

This doesn't seem like FAIR wear & tear to me, less than 17000 miles albeit 4 years old and I spent almost a grand on extended warranty....

Not sure how, who or if I should complain to someone?

As the Landrover Extended warranty will expire in a couple of weeks, the dealer offered a dealer warranty by Ridgeway, said same as Landrover... anyone had experience of Ridgeway Landrover Warranty? Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE
Loire Blue/Ivory leather Privacy Glass

Gone - RRSPORT 2010 TDV6 HSE
Stornaway/Ebony Premium leather with Lunar stitching, Heated Steering Wheel and Privacy Glass.

Gone - RRSPORT TDV6 HSE
Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course.

No experience of Ridgeway but I had bushes and drop links replaced under LR extended warranty this year even though the problem was very minor, probably just started to wear. Car was nearly 4 years old and had done ~45k miles at the time. No resistance from dealer or Car Care Plan.

Result, went back to Ridgeway and quoted your experience and they have now finally had authorization to go ahead with the work, booked in for next week... so thanks Thumbs Up Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

The chief mechanic at my Dealer reckons 12,000 to 15,000 is the common bush replacement frequency and LR have only ever changed the clamps.

Which, in effect, would make them a 'service' item but they ain't in the schedules.

Not sure if the 2014MY cars have the same set-up if not then pre-2014 owners are going to have to 'live' with it.

I had my ARB bushes done under the LR extended warranty by Ridgeway back when they were Hartwells. There was no argument about wear and tear and mine was over 4 years old.

Glad to see you got it sorted out in the end.

I wonder if it was a ploy by Ridgeway to try to get you to buy their warranty... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
