United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Do chrome mirror covers look good?

Hi all,

Our 2006 HSE has the normal black plastic door mirrors that do really let the side down a bit, especially now it has a 2010 look rear end (bumper, lights, colour coded lower tailgate trim), 2010 20" wheels, colour coded outers to the side vents etc.

I've thought about the options but can't decide between leaving the mirrors alone, painting them, buying some of the upper painted covers or now perhaps the chrome ones. Up until today I really didn't like the chrome covers but I saw a black car almost identical to ours (but with chrome mirror tops) and thought it looked OK.

So generally are these a bit naff or can they look OK? Any pics on a Java black RRS much appreciated!

Cheers,
Pete

No.

Seen a few RRS's with them, and IMO.they look awful. Stick with the colour coded ones. Thumbs Up 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Naff as a naff thing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Painted looks a lot better than chrome mirrors.

Chrome additions always strike me as being very Halfords/Max Power.

I have fitted to my Disco 3 painted mirror covers with built in LED indicators and welcome lights (wired to interior light circuit)

They are sold in gloss black or chrome, I bought the black ones and had them repainted.

D3 & RRS are the same mirror units.
