Depends what you want, my mapped TDV8 is phenomenal, although I prefer my FFRR 04 TD6, no accounting for taste Very Happy ( i must be getting old )

How much better is a mapped tdv8 compared to a standard tdv8? Loads faster to 60? Or just drive nicer?

What about just mapping your tdv6?

The remapped TDV8 is quicker generally which makes overtaking safer and less stressful for example. It just feels like it's more ready and able to respond to the throttle pedal no matter what. Shame about the EGRs which can get in the way (as they do with the other versions too).

And there's nothing quite like the look of people seeing a 2.5t diesel "truck" doing an impression of a hot hatch... Whistle Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I can't it the egr's can't be blanked off? Can the mapping turn them off.

How much more tuning can the tdv8 take?

Exhaust rear section, k&n air filter then, egr's turned off then custom map?

I had mine mapped the day I got it so cant comment on normal TDV8, as RRSTDV8 said the main area is overtaking etc. The mid range punch is incredible, it will give my S6 a run for its money over say 50-90. Also fuel consumption is better and sounds better with standard exhaust Very Happy

It might be worth a call Daz, Pete has arranged a discount for forum members before. Maybe if enough people show an intrest, he might arrange a group buy. Thumbs Up

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

Had my TDV8 done by Superchips their sales brochure says increase of around 53Bhp & 191Nm of torque. Actual increase according to Dyno was something like 32bhp and 100Nm can't remember exactly, but which ever way you look at it it's quite a shortfall.
Fair play to them though they did offer to refund my money if I was not happy, however it did make a fair difference so just left it as was. Have since been told that the original figures quoted are quite unrealistic and give smoke issues. Not being a engine tuner wouldn't really know one way or another.

Cheers
Col

^^^^

Did you put it on the Rollin road before and after the mapping??

Rolling roads can be miles out when compared to each other.
