help with fitting VUB501151 Bluetooth telephone kit

Hi I just bought a Bluetooth telephone kit LR part number VUB501151 to fit into my 2007 RRS & had a go at fitting it at the weekend but having issues with the wiring loom as there is so many multi plugs on it & not sure where they all go, is there anyone who has already fitted one of these or can point me in the right direction with it? Many thanks for any info.

Yes fitted one to my D3 a couple of years ago, ripped it out this summer and replaced with the D4 kit for better quality.

The kit is quite straight forward despite the pictorial instructions included, you also will need to buy buttons for the steering wheel and module(s) to go on the ends of those cables to make it work, I have them all somewhere in a bag!

Give me a bell at work tomorrow and I will try to help, alternatively contact Disco_Mikey by PM, he is Dundee based but may come to you, if you give up and go for the D4 kit it will need enabling (assuming that it is also the same for the RRS)

some info here.... http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic53302.html

and if your instructions are missing...

Edit...thinking about it I had the phone buttons in the kit, I added the switch set on the other side so I could get voice commands enabled. Paul Redding

A lot of these modules were sold with only one of the black boxes you need. Usually the bit missing is the Bluetooth module.
Have you got both modules, the microphone, the switchback?

As Steve mentioned, a much easier route is to retrofit the d4 BT module (also a nice upgrade from the std BT as it gives storage for 1000 contacts instead of 300, provides signal strength and is a much better audio quality connection for transmit)

Can be fitted to any d3/rrs with a MOST optical network ( satnav or hi-line stereo)
It does need enabling, but it's pretty straight forward, just needs power and a MOST cable, it needs the satnav screen removing to gain the right MOST connection. Thumbs Up

The module is about £200, the switch pack about £25 and the mic is about £30. The most cable is also about £20. Plus fitting and enabling. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
