Well after three weeks or so i have done a few different kinds of driveing..Im about £400 lighter in the pocket and can say that around town im averaging 11mpg and on a recent drive (Nottingham to Aberdeen) i averaged 19.4 mpg. I wasnt driving either quickly or slowly but i spent most of my time in the right hand lane so i think this isnt too bad. bloody hell mate i am glad i went for the tdv8 as my first choice was the sc model

It's pretty terrible consumption! In the dozy diesel I get 22 round town, 30 on a run. But diesel is more expensive and I only do 7000 miles a year. Back of the envelope calc... A s/c would cost me an extra £1500 (to £2000) a year in fuel.

Though we all know about our cars mpg it's the factor is why we have one. Also I ve been using shell nitro of late and maybe it's just me but I'm finding the car a bit more lively.
