Squeal when cornering

Hi All,

I need some assistance with a squeal the comes from the vehicle (sounds like front right) when cornering at about 30+ km/h. Sounds like a belt slipping. Stationary, it is silent, even when turning the wheel, I've changed both belts and brake pads, still there?
Wheel bearing? Discs? Powersteering pump? ACE pump? Any suggestions will be great.

Cheers
R

Eh? Did he explain how a worn disc can cause a squeal but only when going round a corner?

Funny how whenever you go near some garages they always want to change your discs and pads. Couldn't possibly be because it is easy money could it ........... obviously.

I'd be looking at the wheel bearing first as if it is really badly worn it could allow excess movement of the disc. But hopefully Disco Mikey will be along soon to tell me I'm wrong and what the real problem is Rolling with laughter 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I agree with Paddi its more likely to be a wheel bearing than a brake disc.

Flack Thumbs Up

You guys are spot on - I did the discs today (they did have 3mm wear). Squeal is still there - I Will change the bearing and see how things go (but that will be next month - bit broke).

Thanks for the help!
