Hi Guys and hello from a new member. Anyway here is my tale, im at work on an oil rig and to cut a long story short...i have access to the internet and also access to my credit card and this combination has led me to the purchase of a RRS SC without even seeing it...i know, not the brightest thing its a 2005 black SC First edition with a 2012 autobiography conversion (front and rear lights and body kit) he says it has a biege leather interia (i diddnt know they did one) and it also has non standard rims. Can anyone tell me how the 1st edition model differs from others and also what the clear vision and intelligence packs are...thanks guys...

Welcome to the forum. You're a brave man. Hope it turns out to be a good buy. You may want to look at warranty options just in case you run into problems.

Not sure if its brave or mental...im working on the assumption that someone isnt going to spend thousands on a car last year doing the conversion if the car wasnt a good one.......i hope lol |

Hi bob, Im on the north sea for total..on the west franklin hook up...ive done alot of construction jobs for Total...i quite like them. Im a permit co-ordinator. I had a merc SL 55 amg and a Mitsubishi L200 warrior thingy. I just thought the Rangey would replace them both..best of both worlds. I diddnt think the RRs had any major reliability issues, yet most on forums seem to say they do. Its good to hear your pleased with yours |

It does seem as though some R/Rs have troubles, there are some real horror stories on here.

Cheers again Bob, can i ask what seem to be the main issues and wouldnt it be logical that an early car would have had these issues already and been sorted? Thanks for your encouragement mate

Also im assumeing that if its had a 2012 conversion..someone has spent £1000s last year to do this...and surely you wouldnt spend that on a car that was rubbish? |

At risk of tempting fate, I have owned my 2005 TDV6 since 2008. It had done 34,000 when I got it. It has now done 95,000. The only work I have had to do on it is to replace discs and pads when I first got it, and again just recently. Also to change the electric switch handle on the rear hatch. Everything else has been perfect. The suspension gets confused occasionally, but it resets when switched off at the key.
