Makes the speedo spot on now according to the non-penalty speed indicators that I pass on the roads.

According to calculator the 45 profile will give 3.8% difference in speedo reading

Quite right about the 3.8 % increased diameter........I used to get a reading of 28 - 29 mph going past the speed monitors with my cruise set at 30 when I had 275 40 20 tyres on.

That's what I do. My winter tyres are 255/50 and my others are 255/55. The ride is much better on 255/55/19 than on 275/40/20. And the 255/55/19s fill the arch better too 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Jim...definite ride improvement going from the 275/40 to 275/45 in 20 inch, bearing in mind I was going from some spent Contis to new General GT in the larger size. Higher sidewall height to rim diameter ratio usually equates to greater ride comfort.
