England 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

Turn car off lock and leave for about 10mins. It's like resetting. Then just open and start. That should fix it. Thumbs Up MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.

Gone MY04 Discovery V8 Petrol ES Premium. Awesome.

Same fault - my tip

PM sent to chrisebabes but for the benefit of anyone else interested this was my reply:

Nene Overland to a 100% diagnostic but no faults came up, which is good I guess, although not that helpful.

However, I have found out a few tips and tricks. It seems that it is all to do with the LR "MOST" computer system which means that each system starts up in turn. If any one fails for any reason the next in line do nit start up and so on.

There are two things I have found that help: 1) as soon as you unloack the car put the key into the ignition and turn it to activate the system (the first click, no need to switch on the ignition). The door open sound will clang away but the sound seems to always fire up.

Tip 2) If the sound doesn't start up the turn off and remove key for a couple of minutes for the system to reset itself (both screens will go off). Then start again and it always fires up, for me so far at least.

Hope this helps.

IOW this seems to be a foible with the RRS and D3/4 system and is not consisdered a fault by JLR.

Brian
