Tyre Pressure Monitoring System how it work? is is available an an option in RRS?

I might be wrong, but I think it's available on MY07 RRSs - wasn't available previously, even through there were some pre-production interior shots that showed a TPMS button.

I think TPMS systems normally work through a sensor that constantly monitors & calculates the rolling radius of each wheel. If this changes, it assumes the tyre is losing pressure.....
