Well, I managed to upload POIs in .gpx format via a USB stick to the RRS. However, unless it is a real street address (house number and all) you cannot select it as a destination, but you can see it on the map. The easiest way to produce .gpx files is through Google Maps. You must not use the latest version, though, it does not work on the "new Google Maps". What you do is to attach a USB stick to your computer/laptop. Then you ask Google Maps for directions A to B. You can right click on the map and then select "to here" or "from here". One of those two points should be the point you want to transfer. You must have both A and B shown on the map. Then you click on the A or B marker, click on more, click on send, select GPS and Garmin and that's pretty much it. Via a Garmin website that comes up automatically, a .gpx file that the RRS' navigation unit understands is being created on the USB stick.
