Replacing high level brake light

Has anyone replaced their high level brake light?

I noticed mine wasn't working, so removed the spoiler and checked I was getting power to it. Ordered a new one and have read the LR procedure but have been told that some need breaking to get off as there is a bead of sealant between the lamp and spoiler. Any experience of this?

Thanks,
John

I have removed a few - never had a problem & to be honest I never came across any sealant. Good Luck. Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks Peachy.
It is this weekends task and next week it is MOT time. Apparently, if it's fitted it needs to work!

That's true! Some of the MOT laws are ridiculous. It's the same with a reversing light, although if you take the bulb out, it will pass because it doesn't technically have one! Good luck with the brake light, and the MOT Thumbs Up
