Advice on tyre choice-20" inch wheels

My first post,hello everyone

Ive not long bought my first Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE.

I need to replace all 4 tyres and i was wondering what people on here would recommend.
The vehicle currently has cooper tyres fitted to it

Any advice greatly received,

Regards Phil

Welcome Bow down

I fitted pirelli scorpion to my last one as they were the only all season m+s I could find - bought them off overfinch through the forum with new alloys and saved cost of refurbishing my old wheels. Dan at duckworths does them too Thumbs Up

I had one bad experience in winter but others swear by them so undecided whether to go for winter tyres as well or keep them on all year round. Some members recommend summer tyres and winter tyres but I never needed them before the rrsport so again unsure Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

What is your likely use going to be? All tarmac, a bit of green laning, mixed use, lots of off road work? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi
Thanks for the replies,
Main use will be on road, with an occasional venture on to the green stuff.
What im trying to find out is what gives a good balance between grip and tyre wear.
I had pirelli tyres on my discovery 3 and they were okay

Regards Phil

Been in local LR workshop this afternoon and got chatting about my scary moment last winter on Scorpion M&S tyres - emergency stop at slow/crawling speed in traffic, wheels locked and slid helplessly nearly hitting vehicle in front Sad

Technician thinks due to low speed the ABS did not realise wheels were locked and thought the vehicle was stopped - this makes perfect sense and as he said pumping the brakes would have solved the issue Shocked

I have been worried about RRS and tyres in poor weather because I never had an issue in all my previous LR's but looks like it was a particular combination not down to vehicle and winter tyres would be best in this situation or remember to pump pedal Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
