Little 'vent' on dashboard

Please, does anybody know what this 'vent' is for?

It's on my RR Sport SDV6, first registered July 2011.

Thanks.

I suppose there must be another one for the passenger side, but with a less obvious location.

No only the one LR fetched a mod out for these on the D3 it was the fitting of a sock over the sensor because the cabin was cooling off to much on a long trip because the sensor was seeing the hot instruments around it instead of the cabin temp.

Flack Thumbs Up

Only one temperature sensor… How does the climate control work on the passenger side, I wonder. RR Sport SE SDV6 (first registered July 2011)
