For you guys who don't have one but would like one, this looks a decent bit of kit. Even suitable for you caravanners.

I agree, the ccd cameras do give a good quality image. Not sure I'd part with £89 for one though, I paid under £20 for mine. 2011 Evoque Si4 Dynamic plus lux

On the RRS it should work ok once enabled in the CCF its the D3 that needs the Gvif unit to make the camera work in reverse.

Flack, would that camera work as plug and play (with CCF updated) on a 2008 RRS? Presumably one needs to run a cable from the boot to the back of the dash? How easy is the CCF update? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes just run the video feed to the front and the rest can be wired from the rear passenger side of the boot, the CCF edit is nothing much for this, its just a section like below image

Hey guys so ive installed the gvif unit (piggy backs the sat nav dvd player) and a TV tuner, ive done a description of my install and will post photos on the thread later. It was quite easy to do, now I have the reverse camera left to place, need to work out how to tackle the boot though |

I want to change the ccf config so it runs automatically through the denso screen without have to have it switched to sat nav, just need to know where it plugs in location and type of connection for the camera 2006 Hst 4.2 Supercharged , Angel eyes , 2010 rear led lights , indicator / courtesy wing mirror leds, Khan 21" Diamond edition split rims, full spec (running LPG £0.60 per ltr)

Okay so just changing the CCF does not enable the reversing camera , so after a little help off the disco forum there is a simple mod (1 wire cut) that enables the reversing camera also the venture cam to be used , the reversing camera is automatic when selecting reverse NO MATTER what screen you are in , i did not want to add a gvif as you have to be in sat nav also £ 250 ish for what its only a switching unit and i have spare av's so wasn't prepared to spend to get extras anyway doing the mod to the denso screen now gets my cd player , Bluetooth phone and few more extras on the touch screen far better than the original setup on the little radio display .....

daveyc, are you telling me that the hids4u reversing camera will work on the rrs (i have the 07 hse) WITHOUT the gvif unit, with the added benefit that the reverse screen comes on regardless of what screen you're initially in?
