Auto cruise reset after "driver intervention required m

Hi,
I have encountered a problem with the cruise control on the my 2013 Autobiog. when it follows the car in front but chimes up with the "driver interventionrequired" message as it comes to a roundabout the message centre on the dash tells me the cruise control is unavailable. Stopping the RRS and restarting the engine clears this and allows cruise again. One for the dealership I know but was wondering if its a common issue and how they fix it.

Thanks

paul

Sounds like a calibration issue - the system might be thinking that it is still too close to an object in front even if that object is still not there. If you see what I mean. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi,

I've had "cruise unavailable" happen a couple of times on my 13.5 HSE Black fitted with adaptive cruise and I mentioned it at my last (social) visit to my stealer.

Techie mentioned it could be the second brake light switch. One operates the lights , the other de-activates cruise. Perhaps the action of braking fo rthe roundabout is upsetting the second switch, or it need calibrating.

Mine's on a "3rd time" warning and it's back to the stealers - but it might be worth a punt.

Thanks Scrumps,
Sounds logical I haven't had the opportunity to try the scenario of approaching roundabout in active cruise again but will try again tonight.
