08 S or earlier HSE

So I've been to see my 7th potential RRS today, when I arrived at the garage there was a problem. The 06 HSE I went to view was a complete dog. The saving grace, there was a tidy 08 S for sale.
My question is this, will I regret not waiting for the rare as hens teeth/rocking horse sh#t HSE, with good mileage, 1 owner, that's not been flogged like a donkey or get the S. Thumbs Up
The 08s tdv6 was a great drive but missed a few bells and whistles, thoughts please ? Thumbs Up

HSE are not rare as hen's teeth. Are you happy with the spec of the S? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I just can't find one that's a nice example, they have all been rough cars so far. I like the spec fine, I would want different wheels that's my only gripe

I would never consider an S model, I just could not live without the toys and the difficulty of selling it on.

When I first viewed my RRS, it had 22's on it, it was sitting vey low and the battery was flat. At that point, I was thinking of just walking away as it looked like a dog.

However with a good recharge it started up first time and the suspension went back up to normal height and I fitted genuine 20's shortly afterwards.

I'm glad I bought it now, as it is a low mileage example with FLRSH and hasn't given me any problems 9 months on, apart from the usual suspension knocking sound Rolling Eyes . 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Definitely shop around for insurance, there seems to be a big difference in premiums with the various insurance companies. MY13.5 Autobiography, Santorini Black, Privacy Glass. Gone

As per my reply on your Insurance post topic. Thumbs Up

Most people usually get an insurance quote before they buy the vehicle I'm with Admiral. But ive always found http://www.moneysupermarket.com/ the cheapest out of all the comparison sites, but only use them as a guide and a bartering price as Admiral always beats my best quote just to keep my business. But as usual, it all depends on your personal circumstances, useage and postcode.
