2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Rear end damage on my Range rover sport i just bought :(

Traveling nearly 600 miles to get my new beauty back, A mile away from home sitting at traffic lights a van decides to come and sit in the back of me Sad
A big empty straight main road how could he not have seen a huge range rover at the lights.

So glad I was in the range rover as it is a solid vehicle, Any other smaller vehicle would have had some serious damage. The van was caved in from the front and must have been traveling at some speed, Only damage to mine which I can see is the damage to the bumper and plastics not sure if any damage behind it. Will need to have it checked.

My self and 2 occupants are ok which is the main thing, Just soar backs, Killing me today.

Just absolutely gutted all them miles and only a mile away from home and this had to happen, will speak to the insurance tomorrow morning see what they say.

I am guessing they will send there surveyor out, Where would I take it to have it checked and inspected? Could I take it to the main dealers?

This is the first accident I have ever been in since my 15 years of driving Sad

I'd take it to a LR-approved garage. The Sport is quite involved as it has twin chassis - the ladder frame and monocoque body above. Both need to be assessed and may need splitting apart. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Really sorry to heat about this, but if you are going to have an accident the RRS is not a bad place to be. Hope she's not too badly damaged and let's hope the other parties insurance provide a nice new RRS whilst the repairs are underway.
