Just how good is an RS4?

Not that i could afford one but my dad is thinking of changing his 2005 3.0 diesel A4 (s line estate) in for one and i'm trying to feed him with as as many positive reports on them as i can.

Until last year he's always had S2 and S4 estates so knows sought of what to expect from a new RS4, or does he? 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6

There's a couple of Kam's posts that go over the experience of owning one of them. I found this one:

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic2841.html

...but I think there's one more which I can't find. I'm sure it's called "My new RS4" or something along those lines...

From what I've seen, I think your Dad should buy one. And he should buy me one too Wink

Hi Simon.

RS4 is an awesome machine.. excellent in every way.. can't fault it apart from the rather small fuel tank for the speed it seems to get through the stuff!

Excellent ride quality, build and looks (imo).
19" dont kill you every time you hit a bump, but it handles really like its on rails. Seats are very comfy in my opinion, but i really would advise a test drive, as this is where most opinion seems to be split.

All said and done though, this thing is all about the noise! the exhaust note and engine roar is the best i've ever heard for a car in this price catergory, specially when you hit the fun button, and the butterfly valves are opened up.

Cruised home from my mates just not, and pulled into BP in shirley, which is the youth hangout of the maxpower/fast and furious crew, and despite trying to actually get a race on with a subaru impreza, they just won't bother with it!!! which is a turn up for the books. Obviously not the best way to behave, but it was on the way home, so thought what the hell. Gets a lot of looks and a lot of admiring glances from mostly males. But at the same time, looks like an ordinary saloon car to people not in the know.

Would gladly answer any questions about the car, if you want to stick it on the forum, or PM me. PaulL will no doubt be able to give you his 2p worth, as he got his with me, and we have done similar mileage now. Im on 1100 last time i looked today. Loads of posts about this car on the rs246.com forum.

simonsti - I came from a long line of audi cars - the RS4 is in another league compared to the other "S" models ................. its is simply awsome. As Kam says ..... the sound = WOW Thumbs Up The handling = Bow down and with all audis the build quality = The best!

Proof is in the pudding, go and test drive one.

AND that is why i sold my Audi allroad, I had to fill it up every 250 miles. and that gives the feeling that it is quite heavey on the fuel and does not give you a very relaxed driving feeling, cos the needle of the tank drops very fast.

If your dad is now driving a diesel and only has to fill up every 600miles.

well,

I think i have said enough Whistle
