2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

There's a youtube channel under the name of junkman2000 and a company one under the name of chemical guys. They both provide excellent start up knowledge of looking after your paint work. Its just all depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. Its very easy to get lost in the moment and before you know it few hours have passed. It goes with out saying the more time and effort you put in the greater the return. However not every one can spend the hours needed just claying polishing and waxing for the better results. I was in the same situation as your self chrisebabes few months back. What I would recommened is watch plenty of vids and read up on forums as mentioned detailingworld and clean your car is a great place to source knowledge and products. With product's always pick what suits your pocket just because its expensive and highly recommened that doesn't mean its the best for you alot of the stuff will be for people with years of experience and technique down to a fine art. My advice would be start at the bottom up simple proper cleaning working to full paint maintenance that way you know what makes the swirl and scratch marks on your paint then you learn to get rid of them and keep them off your pride and joy.

Quick list of what I currently use

chemical guys wash and gloss shampoo
About 5-7 micro fiber clothes using "garry deans wash technique"
Bilt hamber clay bar (uses water as lube)
Auto glym super resin polish
collinite 476s wax
Mr sheen window cleaner Embarassed

sonus der wunder drying towel

It's combination of a proper decontamination of the exterior, and compounding, polish & refinining. Try to go for crystal lacquers such has C1 or Modesta range. Hydrophobic coatings such as EXO v2 will help with beading to an extreme level too. I must get up all the RR's done this year. Word of warning (all the new evogues and sports made this year seem to be super sticky as oppose to intermediate paint. Which is what the sport use to be.

Cheers Mike Always clean.

I did exactly the same in the beginning, shampoo from auto glym with a microfibre mitt, chamois, polish and wax. things develop from there. and i treated myself to a high pressure washer from nilfisk...works great on the plastic trims ! Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.
