United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
It's like the Sport should have been from factory...

Hi all,

So I have an '05 plated RRS that had the after-sales Bluetooth kit (waste of time) and was just starting to feel dated.

First off, I acquired a new SatNav 2011/12 disc from fleabay for £30 which works perfectly and looks quite legitimate (although at that price I should have doubts but as LR/Denso charge so much for their discs, I'm not going to investigate further Wink ).

I then managed to get a driving/fog light kit for an absolute bargain off fleabay (original LR kit in original boxes with all wiring, plans, stencils etc for £45 plus P&P - I think they advertised at the wrong price but that's not my problem Whistle ).

Of course, I needed it enabling in the ECU and that led me to Bodsy.

Can't recommend this chap highly enough (please note, other self-confessed geeks who can tinker with your Sport are available).

So, good bye after-sales bluetooth, hello brand new D4 bluetooth module via MOST plus clock-on-dash, driving lights enabled, gearbox reset, satnav on the move, and three-flash indicators.

Also, all the other little titbits of information that came out while chatting (front diff breather hose filter can sometimes get blocked and cause seals to fail etc) was invaluable.

Feels like I have a new car and all those things that niggled me have now gone away. Now if only it could be made into a convertible... Shocked

'tang.

And there's the issue with wearing contacts in a convertible - at speed the wind tends to slide the lenses sideways out of the eyes - certainly makes life interesting...
