Your Audi dealers must love you, Martin!! Some pics would be great - esp of new S8.

Talking of jollies, my car broker is inviting me and few of his regular customers to a jolly next week at a place called Aynho, near Banbury. Quads, karts, argocats etc - should be good. Anyone been here? The web site is http://www.adayinthecountry.co.uk.

Is the Q7 out yet? I think I might have seen one in passing the other day. Odd looking thing.

I've been seeing Dutch registered Q7's for a few months now. Don't like it much in the flesh. Officially on sale 15th July. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Yeah they have had dutch plated Q7s knocking round for ages.. i don't like them one bit, much prefer the R class merc, and thats saying something..

Official launch weekend is this weekend i think.. well seems to be open weekends everywhere showcasing them.. want to test drive the following cars in the summer weeks coming up..

S6, S8, Porsche 911 C2 S..
Are the S6/S8 available to view and drive yet though MDp, or they just showroom showpieces currently?

might be slightly biased, but I still prefer the Treg to its close relations. Saw a Q7 on the road in France last week - it really was a big car, but looked old school AUDI - a bit bland (I like the front end though)

Well its been a busy night - what with the mother-in-law knocking on deaths door [ again ] it was a rush to get this done Mad

Anyway arrived at the chrysler dealership [ also Listers ] a touch late , but as they were open until 7pm - just made it. BUT, it was at this point I realised I had forgotten the camera [ blame the dying mother in law ] so sorry but all pics were taken on my nokia N80 mobile camera phone.

1st up was the new and 1st in the UK SRT-8 awsome machine with 6.1ltr V8 capable of 0 - 60mph in 5secs has all the toys and costs a mere £39k = bargain!

2nd up was the full kitted out 300c tourer with 22" chrome alloys bentley grill + more.

Here we have the SRT-8 1st in the UK

Then it was off to Listers Audi.....................

and finally I was so excited with this my hands were shaking Embarassed

The SRT-8 was very surprising - better inside than the regular 300c and what value for money - a true bargain at £39k

The audis were all typically superb and without a shadow of doubt - have the best interiors 2nd to none! I was surprised by the Q7 - it really is a big car ......... and I mean big CAR .... doesnt look like a 4x4 .... However in the showroom were a couple, the Black 3.0d in S-line trim was the better looking. It had all the toys inc 20" alloys + sat nav etc. It cost £48.850 again inside was light years ahead of both the RRS and FFRR. I do miss the quality of audis interiors Sad

As for the RS4 , new S8 and new S6 Avant = they all had great interiors that would make you feel special - but all at a price Mad If you were new to Audi and buying cars you would look around the showroom and walk out with the Q7 = value for money

or take a look at the new A6 ALLROAD .... that is definately a superb alternative to any 4x4 Confused

Enough of all this chrysler/audi talk - I love my LR RRS S/C Very Happy and can't wait to rip round the track at gaydon on Sunday Thumbs Up

I asked this the other day, seems they're out in the UK shortly - the ones you've seen are maybe on Dutch plates.

That new Chrysler estate doesn't look as good as the saloon imho, but the interior of the S8 looked stunning. Must drop in on my local Audi dealer at some point and look for myself - very nice.
