OMG what a day yesterday....Drove to Bedford from Nottingham to go and look at a 2005 RRS SC, I got to the dealers and the car looked fabulous..It was a 2005 but it had had a complete 2012 Autibiography update..including front and rear lights, bodykit, grill...and a complete Ivory and piano Autobioraphy interia which i wasnt expecting. I looked her over and there are one or two issues...one of the 22" alloys need a refurb, a tyre that will need replacing soon and the petrol filler spring is missing..but all in all not to bad. So i grabed the guys and set out on a test drive...on the A1M....Now while on the A1M at a point without a hard shoulder...just three miles into my test drive...i ran out of petrol. I was in the driving lane with nowhere to go, lorries hurtling at me at 70mph, i reached for my phone.....I HAD LEFT IT IN MY CAR BACCK AT THE DEALERS.....i scrambled out of the passenger side after putting the hazards on and ran 200 yards down the road towards the on coming traffic....i stood and directed the traffic for half an hour untill the police arrived (someone had 999 them) who then coned the area off and used his van as protection. The traffic police then bought the traffic to a stop with a rolling road block untill me and one officer pushed the RR 50 yards to a parking spot...he then googled the dealer and let me phone him...two gallons got me going again...i was fuming tho. THe police where fantastic. The dealer embarrassed ....and yes i bought the car...but with a half tank of fuel and a £250 discount for my trouble. |

If the wheel and tyre are the only problems you will have had a real result eh.

Yep that seems to be the only issues (up to now) Im even reconsidering doing the orange stuff as it looks good as is...maybe a black grill rather than the silver one..but all in all im very happy...Oh yeah...the spring on the fuel filler is missing..... |

Was the fuel gauge not working or we're you so wrapped up in the experience that you did not see the BIG YELLOW warning that you only had X miles left in the tank?
