Rear seat problem

Hi all,

Have a very strange problem that I am hoping someone can help with.
The rear seat, as we all know, splits 70/30 with the aid of two pull tabs located between the upper and lower seat pads. However, on trying to put the larger seat split forward yesterday, it appears that the "tab" has disappeared down behind the seat and is nowhere to be found, almost as if it has become wound around the tubular frame of the seat.

I have tried everything, every way to try and recover the pull tab to release the seat pad, but with no success. Can this seat be raised/lifted any other way other than using the pull tab.

It's the silliest thing but I cannot get the seat to budge at all

Any advice gratefully received,...... 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

There is a flap at the back of the boot floor that rests against the back of the seat. Pull it back and see if it allows access or reveals where the loop has gone. I don't actually know if it would help, just hoping it might.

Yep, tried that but still cannot get to the tab. It's right on the end of my fingers but feels like its either stuck between the frame of the seat or its wrapped around the seat tubing. So annoying. Have tried various implements to pry it loose but nothing seems to work. 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

You could try lowering the seat back while doing that, it might just give you a bit more reach.

Or try lifting the other seat pad and try to reach from there. '08 RRS TDV8
