Test drove 56 plate RRS s/c Few quetions

Test drove a 56 plate RRS s/c today, was my first drive of a SC model.

Few questions

When driving over speeds bumps at very low speeds there was squeaking coming from the front and rear of the car, sounded like it was under the car, could this be worn bushes or suspension problems? There was no knocking.

When testing the suspension height while static, in both height modes, you could hear a loud noise like a generator from under the near side rear passenger door inside a black box. Is this the air compressor and is this normal?

The brake discs was very worn and prob had a 2mm lip so where is the best price to source OEM discs apart from the dealer, or are they cheap enough? I did see some one ebay for around £70ish.

The door rubber trim was worn on the driver side and passenger off side doors, are these easy to replace?

The car was a little shabby so I walked when the price did not reflect it, shame really as it drove nice.

I used a check list that I sourced from here so thanks guys on that one.

The compressor does not make audibly intrusive noise normally. Usually a sign of future failure if much louder than a hum. The squeek could be dry joints, mine did this when stood up for long periods, and front brakes really should be genuine, can get away with copy rears. I would want to know I'm going to stop when driving 2.6 tonnes of car Whistle
Door trims/seals are easy to replace, just watch out for the sticky crap they use to hold them on. Goes everywhere and impossible to get off leather Shocked 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Thanks for the replie.

The noise was loud, like a humming sounds. It took the ar a good minute to get it self raised up, you could hear the suspension filling up with air, again is this normal?

Yes I would only use oem discs and pads ( iv messed about with uprated discs on the race car lol). What sort of price are oem front discs?

I think discs were @ £100 each and brembo pads £150.
Can't say I ever heard air filling suspension, and raising should be quick and smooth. Anything else would scream up coming problems. Does sound a bit like pump is on its last legs. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Yea thats what I though, for a 6 year old car its not exactly old, in terms of a second hand car.

How much is a new air pump? An i right in thinking that they are a serviceable item?

Replacement including labour.£500. If car raising slowly you will get the message on the dash saying so. If no warning lights at any stage you should be ok. Mileage of car? Replacement discs and pads all round £450 ish. But these are all wear & tear stuff and would at some point in the cars life need replacing. Maybe reflect this in the asking price.
