2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black
swapping stereos

The old range rover stereo is pretty basic and not the most attractive unit on the market, so am thinking of changing it to another newer double din version.

Now, the system I have is Harman and also logic 7, are these lost when you switch to a pioneer or alpine type head unit?

I actually want the better functions of a newer stereo for ipod features, whereas at the moment I have to connect via the aux lead.

Just fitted a Kenwood touch screen unit to a Disco3. But required completely rewiring the system and excluding standard amp and functions. £18 interface makes steering wheel buttons work but you loose interface with dash. You will also need to replace standard speakers as they run on 2ohm and no retro amp can support it. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
