It's all rubbish. How much extra does polution does my car produce compared with a 'greener car'? I usually only enter London after 6.20pm so I'm being charged for 10 minutes in the zone. I usually finish work at after midnight so public transport is non-existant to where I live and even if it was I carry about £5000 worth of equipment with me - nice for a mugger. I need a big car because of the size of my family and the geography of where I live - if I had a normal car I would be replacing tyres every week due to the poor state of the drive to my house - a drive which I do not own. I am in a no win situation! Plus the amount of bloody income tax I pay to keep this country going is a joke - I should be rewarded for being the citizen that I am - I don't use state education for my kids, I have private medical insurance, I don't have any income support and only claim child benefit because it pays for the ever increasing Council Tax. If everyone in this country was like me this country would be great again but instead I am treated as the problem and not the solution. Because I contribute to the good of this country I get penalised but this goverment simply because I'm a soft touch and the masses think that they are owed a living. Well I'm bloody sick of it and given the oppertunity would happily all over people like Ken bloody livingston the little jerk! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Most of the government have never had a proper job in their lives, jobs where one has to go out and create wealth and deal with real problems. The majority of this lot are ex Labour party workers or state backed this or that. I remember Blair putting Geoffrey Robinson up as a Labour supporting man made good type of person, well look what happened to him. The only solice I get is seeing what a hash Blair and the frog make of their property deals - they've lost thousands! And we trust these people to run the country and as times go on they want more and more control over our lives. LEAVE US ALONE - WE KNOW HOW TO RUN OUR LIVES TREAT PEOPLE LIKE ME FAIRLY AND WE WILL HELP THIS COUNTRY - PUNISH US AND I WILL NOT. :bang:Given the chance I will move to a country where the tax system is fair and the goverment do not interfere too much in the meantime I will probably just struggle to exist. That doesn't work - the best thing I've seen is a number plate that on a press of a button flips over so the cameras see nothing. Sorry to have started your day so well VA But must say I agree with you entirely, where oh where has GREAT BRITAIN gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get me started!

We sign up to the government system, we pay our taxes our bills on time, car insurance, road tax and they keep coming for more money. Speed cameras are meerly revenue raisers - we need more police on the roads pulling bad, drunken, uninsured drivers over - instead they just fine us the paid up drivers more because it;'s easier that way. On the A3 it's a 50mph limit all day. At 2.00 am when I'm driving home why can't I go 70mph which would be as safe? Simple question what's more dangerous Driving 20mph outside a school during drop off time or doing 70 mph at 2.00am on a clear road? One is legal the other ilegal.

Now Tax - we should have a basic flat rate income tax at about 25% - everyon should pay this from the lowest workers up to the highest workers. It has been proven in other countries that this actually increases the money the gov has to spend because it reduces enormously the paperwork and the measures wealthier taxpayers take to avoid paying tax. This government and any future government need to seriously look at our ecconomy because in a decade or 2 we will be ed but don't worry civil servants can still retire with nice large pensions at 60 when the rest of us are expected to work longer and longer. I pity my kids growing up in this country with its ever increasing government interference - hopefully the money I spend educating them will teach them how to stand on their own 2 feet and get the most out of life without the gov interfering.

I accept that taxes need to be paid, I accept that we need to help the less well off in our society but what I don't accept is that I should be dictated to by people who get off on power. When I contribute the vast amount of money I contribute in taxes I should have a choice of the way I spend my remaining money and Ken Livingstone is making me off. People like Ken are jealous of people like me and if the job of Mayor, MP or whatever paid a decent wage I would jump at the chance to run this country, town etc. We need to pay politcians a decent top wage to attract candidates who know how the real world works. How can you expect to get good MPs for £50,000? The PM should be paid 1/2 million and a basic MP should get 150K upwards. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
