Mate! $3.49 for unleaded petrol is a bargain! I'm paying $5.20 USD a gallon for diesel. Filling my wife's car with unleaded petrol (95 octane rating, Super is 98 in Belgium) costs me about $6.20 a gallon.

$6.70 per US Gal last time I filled up in the UK. Last May I was paying $2.50 in NW Washington (state rather than city) and loved to comment on how cheap US gas was. Think yourselves lucky U don't have our politicos ruling you! |

Am I right in thinking that the TDV6 is NOT Bio-Diesel compatible?

Best diesel by far is BP Ultimate, even though it costs more initially It may well pay to use it. TDV6 - gone

Biodiesel is certainly not an option - they love to talk about the higher cetane ratings but fail to mention the 4C gel point. And you cannot run on cooking oil either, unlike most Japanese diesels! MudallOverit and I were at an offroad weekend in April where 2 of the Mitsubishi Pajeros were running cooking oil and diesel mix, and it really does smell like a mobile chip van has just passed when they are nearby! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

Agree with Josh, BP Ultimate is more expensove but I find that I get an extra day out of a tank, you definately can feel difference in performance once you have run a full tank through the car and you get less smoke |

BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax Diesel seems to be almost impossible to buy in Central Scotland. There are lots of places selling the Petrol versions but not diesel.... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Same here, one in Newport that I'd have to make a special trip to get, same for the one in Cardiff. www.petrolprices.com now has it so that U can put in premium diesel to help in the search. It shows Total garages as doing prem diesel at near "normal" prices (alarm bells suggesting might be a mistake), one is handy so will pop in to have a look. |
