Food and drink's good. Roads are excellent. Most French people are OK, it's "les Parisiens" that give the rest of the population the bad name.

Without it sounding like a cliché, Belgium is a country of two halves! The northern half (the Flemish speaking half) is actually a bit more bearable than the French speaking (Walloon) half. Stay as far away from Brussels as possible, it possibly is THE most tedious place on the face of the planet. Really it is. Also, the fields stink of rotting vegetation a large amount of the time.

Good things about Belgium? The beer will kill you and so will the chocolate.

An ex's parents live in Brussels so I had the misfortune to see quite a lot of Belgium, way too many times. Check out Bruges - this is a pretty nice town.
