Do a search

You must use the correct spec, it's very rare (hard to find)...read your manual for the spec. Mike

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Fuji White

Isn't the new recommended oil especially for PDF equiped vehicles?
In Australia the PDF is not fitted and I can't see why the previously recommended Castrol Edge 5-30 shouldn't be OK?

Thats correct, but they do issue different oil specs for different country's - Canada i know has its own winter/summer spec

Hence why its best to check and follow it Mike

In the UK, Comma can supply an oil that meets the spec required for WSS-M2C934-B. It is called Ecolife. I needed a drop for a top up prior to a trip to the Alps. Only bought a litre but available in 5 litre cans for about £39.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

I have just purchased 10 litres of this http://www.carlube.co.uk/index.cfm?product...etic%20C1. Paid a total of £38.60 including free delivery from Euro Car Parts. This price is available if you enter "Midmonth25" in their promotions box.

Since I was quoted a total of £132 for engine oil (just under 6 litres required!) plus labour at £126 an hour, I have decided to service my RRS myself. Service kit from Duckworths was £88.50 + VAT.

My main priority was to get the correct oil. In particular, there are plenty of stories of DPF vehicles not being filled with the specific grade that is required. Since this oil is fully synthetic, meets WSS-M2C934/B and Carlube is a well known brand, I'm more than happy to put it in my car. I usually use Castrol products, but they don't seem to offer a compatible product.

I just think that some main agents take the proverbial because "it's a Range Rover".

I know about the spec issue - im one of those people that have been harping on for some time on it!!

As for castrol (and shell) - you can get it if you know where to look, you can also get it from the dealer suprisingly Mike
