Oman 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
Music over Bluetooth

Morning all,

I've been trying to get music over BT for my 2006 Sport however everything I've tried doesn't provide a workable solution when combined with the OEM BT for the phone.

Currently I can pair my Samsung S3/ Note 8 with both the Land Rover phone BT and the Unisound Music BT unit I have installed and play music over the BT. However, when I then make or receive a call I get large amounts of interference Sad , I presume from the UNisound device.

The Unisound device is wired in via an ignition feed for power and into the aux in for sound.

A way around this is to pair 2 devices, 1 for music & navigation and 1 for phone, but this defeats the objective in that I want to use 1 device for music, phone, navigation etc. This would ultimately be a Samsung Note 8 mounted in front of the OEM Nav Screen so that I can access all my contacts, music and navigation etc easily from one device.

So the question is would it be possible to use the BT module from a 2010+ Sport, which I believe has music over BT in lieu of the LR4 module I currently have so that both music and phone are streamed to the Sport via 1 OEM module?? Anybody have any ideas?

Any other advice would be great help also Thumbs Up

Thanks in advance.

A 2010 module would just give you enhanced telephone contacts, signal strength and phone provider, nothing changes on streaming music. I.e. You can't do it, sorry. Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for the responses Gents,

Would a later module be able to be used if it offers A2DP and HFP protocols/ profiles for example an "Ewok" module?? I thought the 2010 offered A2DP, obviously not Sad or is that only offered in the new 2014 RRS?

Thanks agaon for the help Thumbs Up

Cheers
