Parking a bit close

Went to the local supermarket early this morning (they open at 8:00). There were about 10 cars in the carpark (probably holds 800 places), I parked well away from the shop entrance and as I was just about to open my door to get out, some idiot in his Nissan parked so close next to me that I couldn't open my door! I ended up having to move!

Has that happened to anyone else out there?

I hate going to supermarkets for that reason. No matter how far away you park, you can bet your life that some lonely nutter has cuddled up to you.

Its funny how some do that isn't it? You park miles away in a group of empty spaces and still end up with a car close enough you cant open the door.

Added to that is the dings on your car as they fling their door open. I now have some of those. Sad

Why, unpopular or not, I often take two spaces.

I always drag my daughter with me so that I can officially park in parent and child spaces.

One daughter is 10 and the other is 24. Either will do.

I can hire out for a small fee.

Rolling with laughter

That sounds so wrong doesn't it. Rolling with laughter

It's the nutter on the bus syndrome you sit down on a empty bus but they always sit next to you , with the car parking its one of my pet hates I could F***ing scream especially in Spain where I live a bumper on a car is exactly that, it would make your hair curl when you see that parallel parking hitting bumpers front and back and then walking a way as if no problem , many years ago I did challenge someone doing it (not to me) he got out and said normal normal and walked off 2006 Hst 4.2 Supercharged , Angel eyes , 2010 rear led lights , indicator / courtesy wing mirror leds, Khan 21" Diamond edition split rims, full spec (running LPG £0.60 per ltr)

I think the British are uniquely worried about small scuffs on cars. Perhaps the Germans too as they can be a bit car mad too. Everyone else just sees a car and gets on with life. But then the British probably spend more than they should on cars in the first place - they seem to be aspirational items in a way that other nations just don't understand.

I reckon that anyone who lives in and parks their car in a city just has to accept the fact that with several million people in close proximity you are eventually going to park next to someone who just doesn't care about other people's stuff. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
