United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Zambezi Silver
Just had recalls performed, but what are they?

Brought my RRS in for 15,000 mile service, and noticed that a number of recalls were also performed. I'm curious what they were, and wonder if y'all can shed some light on them.
In the order performed they are as follows:
B037 Key Removable (which has been covered on forum already)
B034 Air suspension compressor upgrade (with description "installed updated exhaust components" and part #JP0500010 compressor kit changed)
B039 no description
B036 Vehicle enhancement
Also, I had complained of a noise/rattle in the headliner, which was traced to the right side sunroof louver which had separated, and was reinstalled.
Got a loaded V8LR3 with every option other than Sat. radio as a loaner which was nice, as on the last visit I got one of the base V6 LR3 loaners.
Thanks in advance for any info/comments. 2011 BMW X3 35i Carbon Black

Recall B039 = Brake Hose / Wheel weights issue

B034-B036 = Service Action Bulletin / Vehicle Enhancement Program as detailed below:

Quote:
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Land Rover LR3 (LA) VIN: 5A000259 to 6A390949
Range Rover Sport (LS) VIN: 6A900129 to 6A956539

Situation: Land Rover is conducting a vehicle enhancement program on LR3 and Range Rover Sport vehicles. At elevated temperatures the spring return force on the air suspension compressor exhaust valve is insufficient to overcome the friction forces, which can lead to the exhaust valve not closing properly. This results in a leak path in the air suspension system and result in an 'Air Suspension fault' message. LR3 and Range Rover Sport vehicles will also have an air suspension warning lamp illuminated. Other vehicle and software enhancements will be performed as part of this combined Service Action.

Action: The Service action covers the following areas:
• Upgrade the air suspension compressor:
• Performing a number of software and body fitting enhancements to the affected vehicles.

The updates are detailed below along with the relevant vehicle information.

Vehicle Enhancement Actions Model VIN Range

Electronic Air Suspension Compressor Upgrade (includes upgrade ride level control module software)
LR3 5A000259 to 6A374589

Thanks Umbertob.
Still curious about recall B039.
Also noticed that the brakes (original) are down to 8mm front and rear @16,087 miles and wonder how that compares with all y'all, and how much more life they have left. 2011 BMW X3 35i Carbon Black

Mike, sorry about the typo above, B039 is the wheel weights issue (only performed on cars with 19" stock rims and no Brembos.) I have edited the original post and link, should you wish to take a look at the actual Recall Bulletin.

My brake pads were replaced at the 22.5K service, both front (down to 10%) and rear (down to 15%) plus, surprise surprise, the front rotors - which were "glazed" according to the dealer - cost just over $700 for parts and labor. Evil or Very Mad

Derek, not sure what you mean... Is that British/Welsh humor directed to the size of the wheels in the picture below? Those are 21" Cargraphic rims, I could have done a lot worse, trust me. I could have gone 22". Or 23". Or D3. Wink
