Yes.... Reading on the forum they are very reliable. Just the manual gearbox clutch is a bit of a weak point (I'm after an auto)
I'm just trying to figure out which model to buy xs gs hse !!!!

I had man and auto - preferred the auto but used a bit more fuel Thumbs Up

I went for the gs spec as I considered it the best value new and it had everything I wanted as standard Cool

Myself I would have another FL2 any day but swmbo loves the sport even though it cost twice what I paid for the FL2's and has been the least reliable Lr I have ever owned Evil or Very Mad

The FL2 was better in snow than the RRS too Embarassed

Good luck with your search Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

United Kingdom

im on my second FL2, 1st been and launch edition manual version and the current one been a automatic

FL2.1 was great, but had a few teething issue in the early days due to it been new (lots of MY14 RRS owner will soon know what i mean) but i really liked it and got the automatic version and this has been been near faultless, though the mpg is about 100miles per tank less

The newer SD4 FL2 are lovely to drive, the power to weight is spot on, they are nimble aswell for those quick country lane trips, but also cruise along on the motorway

The new FL2 Dynamic looks very nice Cool
