I think the terminology is "in charge of a motor vehicle". So if you've got the keys on you and you're asleep in it then you're considered to be "in charge" of it. The better option would be too be asleep in it but the keys are behind the pub bar so you can't drive it. I reckon you'd be able to argue that one in court.

RRSTDV8 you are right about the law and the difference is that whilst in bed at home drunk the likelihood of driving are very slim but in the vehicle drunk with the keys raises the chances of you driving, "in charge" also has a common sense distance rule which usually interprets to being in it or very close. Thats on a sunday are they running the plant 24/7 on the new sport then Sunday cars could be worse than a friday car if the employees are out on the razz saturday night.....

Sorry to remind you about it, but according to the brochure stainless steel pedal covers are a standard fit in an HSE Dynamic. Your online spec has charged £102 for them. |
