My 07 4.2SC

Well after about 2 months of ownership I'm loving RRS ownership! Don't do massive millage so the SC was the choice for me!

On the day of purchase:

Has quite a nice spec with rear entertainment and sunroof! Very Happy

Only real change so far is the 2012 spec rear lights and also fitted LED's to all the interior and exterior lights! Oh and finally got my private plate off retention

Possibly going to have the wheels powder coated anthracite/black but still undecided!
Booked in for a phantom squeek and a replacement key@LRR in Charlton who have been helpful so far! Anyone on here used them?

Alex

Very nice but would not blacken the wheels.

I think I would have gone for a longer rear plate (I'm just waiting for my DVLA paperwork and ill put mine on too) as the two dots, which I assume are fixing holes, draw the eye.

Interesting that the plate on day of purchase was a sort of Alex too.

Hope you continue to enjoy Thumbs Up 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Nice motor Thumbs Up but you are risking an on the spot fine of £60 for that plate, they could even take it off you if you get caught with it several times in a short period especially if its the same copper... Big Cry

The police seem to be cracking down on these plates now because there are so many ANPR camera's around and the police want to make sure that the camera's can read ALL number plates. Wink

The answer is for them to upgrade the ANPR system to be able to read more than the standard plate layout/font. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes, but we all know that the ANPR can read these plates regardless of spacing. I can understand italic font etc being pulled but a wrong space is ridiculous.

Some cars have a rectangular plate on the front and a square on the back, bikes have square on the back, so spacings are different anyway. There is a merc that has the plate bent at the front, so the space is not unifrom on that car either.

I see so many trailers being pulled along with the wrong number (or no number) on it. These are the people who should be pulled over for trying to disguise the vehicles identity.

In case you were wondering, yes - I had a tug for mine R WA5H in the past (legal font). The copper (in fairness) didn't give me a fine, just the ticket as I think he initially thought I had tampered with it to get the 5 to look like the S. Anyhow, I'm putting it on the RRS in the format above and will keep my fingers crossed.

Bizzare that the plate can cause a failure of an MOT but fully tinted windows doesn't. 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Very nice car in a great colour. Thumbs Up
I would do the wheels in Graphite Grey looks really good against the bodywork.
Prestige wheels carry this colour. Had it done on my VWR50 looks very cool, and going to get it done on my RRS very soon.

GOOD. These fudged number plates are a pet hate of mine! If you can't afford a proper private reg leave the normal one the car comes with on, don't straighten a 7 to look like a T, don't fudge the spacing, don't pass off numbers as letters Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

They really do just cheapen a quality car.

Save up and get a 2 letter, 2 number plate. Quality. Thumbs Up

Rant over.

Nice car though, and black wheels are Cool
