not really bothered about performance just want the most reliable model as it will be my daily runner so looking at a 05/06 RRS 2.7 or FFRR 3.0, I know the FF 3.0 has gearbox problems and have heard from my mot chap that the 2.7 has engine problems, is this true?

Thanks TVR SAGARIS

Toyota LandCruiser Thumbs Up

You don't buy a Land Rover for its fuel economy, or reliability...

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Arctic Frost

Hi TVR Sagaris!

Welcome. I have a 2005 (05) TDV6 HSE 110K miles and I love it!!

This is a great forum and you'll get loads (and loads!) of advice here but as far as buying goes the general rules apply re check, check and check again.

The forum isn't IMHO a great place to work out which model/year is better than others as in the main people with problems post for help and advice.

For example, I can tell you that I'm glad I have a 2005 model as it doesn't (touch wood..) suffer from the engine failure issues caused by the apparent failure of part of the mount associated with the tensioner.

Mind you, having said that I'd not turn down a MY10 plate if I was in the market for it.

Do the checks and buy well and you'll love it.

Welcome... 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE in Artic Frost. 20" 2010 HST Alloys, sidesteps, Hawke tips, plus minor bits and bobs along with a remap. Four spike spiders ready for the Alps again now tucked up in their garage boxes...
