Yesterday I have a guy run up the rear in slow moving traffic. Got out and its cracked the bumper a 2 sensor are pushed in, I spoke to my local LR dealer how in turn has had Albany assistance call me and they seem quite pushey to give me a hire car (sound ok to me) of like for like, but reading the reviews I am worried, has anyone used them ? Yep correct they give you a hire car then sting the insurance for the bill.

They are part of the Helphire group and as such, create problems when it comes to claims as they charge three times going rate. I had problems when my case went to court and judge deemed their rates excessive. Then followed another court hearing in small claims when there was a shortfall in hire charges. Won that one but still got brushed with negative credit until I got it wiped. Be careful |

Companies like this are essentially car hire companies who use accidents as the source of their business. Everything is geared to the hire of a car to you. They will only 'take you on' where it is clear that it is a no fault claim on your behalf, low risk high return hire business. As previously mentioned they charge exorbitant rates which are often challenged by the third party insurance company but historically to no avail.
