Interesting. And the 'old' record set by ?... driving ?... was...... Or maybe no-one has ever wasted their time racing an SUV up a hill-climb course before.

This is the motoring equivalent to entering a canal barge in the Round the Isle of Wight yacht race and then claiming a 'course record' for a canal barge.

Perhaps if Land Rover paid a little more attention to fair treatment of their customers instead of just trying to bleed them dry with silly prices for spares, poor servicing, (or that outrageous £367 sat nav update) and less time on irrelevant stunts the long term reputation of the company might improve.
