About to buy my first RRS

Hi all,

I've just joined the forum as after 10 years of ownership i am now selling my 911 and moving over to something more sensible.

Can anyone give me a breakdown of the main issues to look out for on a RRS. I'll get a PPI but would like to know myself what potential issues are out there.

I'm looking for a back HSE with either 20 or 22 inch wheels so if anyone has one sale, please let me know.

Regards

Graham

Well i've spent the last few hours scouring the forum and am now doubting whether to get one. It seems everyone has issues with them and they are always going wrong.

It does seem like that but you must remember that on forums the majority of people only come to resolve problems and aide the issues they have.
If you spend some time looking for a good one (like any car) and get a warranty it should be ok.
I know people that have had more trouble with other vehicles than range rovers

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

My 911 had loads if problems including a top mount that failed while going round a roundabout. As said, all cars go wrong, it's just that some marques go out of their way to make the resolution a pleasure. Whistle 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Arctic Frost

Graz,

Welcome. You'll learn a lot just by cruising the forum and it does see that many on here go bang BUT from a personal perspective know what you want and look for it.

Personally, if you want a good one then get it inspected and try and find a cherished model someone has looked after.

Good luck mate, it's well worth a good hunt for the right one for you 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE in Artic Frost. 20" 2010 HST Alloys, sidesteps, Hawke tips, plus minor bits and bobs along with a remap. Four spike spiders ready for the Alps again now tucked up in their garage boxes...
