What ever you do to a TDV8, don't break it, you'll be waiting forever for a new one if simple1 thread is to go by |

The question is what will that sort of grunt do to the transmission? Getting 350bhp or more is presumably also going to give big increases in torque. At some point the transmission is going to cry "enough!" 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Surely if you want more 'umphff' then why no just get the V8 Supercharged ?

I know we're ur coming from if it were numbers alone that I was after than supercharged v8 would be the way forward but the tdv8 is only a second slower so with a few Tweeks would give the supercharged a run for its money and still be a lot more fuel efficient, So just looking at the options available |

The TDV8's hardly a fuel efficient car albeit it is better than the petrol, but surely with that much tuning the little fuel efficiency that it does have is going to take a hit? Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

For sure but it's still gonna be better than the petrol, I spoke to a guy with the supercharged and he was getting around 12mpg I currently get 23 in my tdv8 and my old man gets 26 out of his tdv8 I'm not saying I'm gonna be ploughing thousands into my car just curious as to what people have done and what options there are. |

For most, a straight remap on a TDV8 will be enough @ 320bhp
