Hybrid RRS

I LOVE the new Sport (aside the rear plastic things around the puny exhaust tips), but being in a FL2 which 60 % of the time does a 1/2 mile run to school & back (yes walking will be on the cards once it warms up) I'm thinking a electric hybrid version may well be the perfect option for these very short trips where nothing gets warm enough.

So does anyone 'know' if the hybrid version will be a decent SDV6 with batteries for pure electric motoring?

I was told thatvthe huge weight loss all the new models are going on/have been on is to compensate for the extra weight of the batteries for either a hybrid system or the ERAD rear end, as featured on the Land_e concept.

Again, only speculation at this point in time Rolling Eyes

Thanks Tim, but not so bothered about MPG, just the fact that lots of very short trips are not good on cars, nor DPF's. if I can have a new Sport plugged in overnight so it is all warm when I get in to whizz to school, that would be great. But for normal runs I would want a decent sized engine! Gone:
