Timed Climate ??? help

Set the timed climate last couple days for first time

When go out to car you can hear the FBH is on but on getting in the car it doesn't seem its done any heating at all

this morning it was probably 20 mins after the programme started and still didn't seem to be warm, do i set a temp anywhere or ????

Have i got completely the wrong idea about timed climate and its just a pre engine heat or ???? Just wanted to know if this is normal or ive got issues already really, thanks ....

Hi Craig,

My Mrs uses this daily before the school run. She calls it one of the gadgets she never knew she needed Smile and the kids love it too.

From what I understand is the heater / cooler will only run for 20 mins anyway and the temperature is set on the dials in the normal way you would if you were driving. I think the highest is 20 and 16 is lowest.

We were also told not to keep any programme running if we do not intend on using the car as the battery will drain.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I use this but I wouldn't say you get in and the car is all toastie because it isn't it just seems to take the edge off the chill and defrosts the windows etc.

I wasn't aware of being able to set a temperature so I will take a look tonight at this and see what mine is set to!

Andy

Hmmmn

So your saying you can actually set the desired temp ???

To do so you go onto the timed climate screen where you set the time to auto come on and set the temp when in this mode on the normal dials ????

The manual is near as useless at explaining much about it I found

I think it comes on at the temperature the controls are on when you get out the car previously.
If you have it on 18-20 normally, then this could be why you aren't really felling the difference Idea ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Craig,

We set ours by the dials but when we had our handover demo we were told that the coldest you can set is 16 and warmest is 20 so don't wind the dial up to schorcio because you'll be disappointed. Very Happy For when the weather is hot (as it is here in Spain) all I do is keep my finger on the "open" button on the remote as I approach and the windows drop for (relatively) instant cooling.

Only time can be dictated via the touch screen.

Trial and error my friend.

When there was snow on the car - it heated it enough to melt it off all the windows and it feels warmer in side than out...there certainly isnt a chill...but its definitely not hot; it doesnt really run long enough.

Most important thing it does is warm the engine up...

Timed climate also does cooling...thats nice in the heat Mike
