hello
apparently sealed for life, but apparently it is possible to change
I think the sc in the rrs is the same as the M112 eaton that the jags and many others use,
service kit below but also powerhouse in sheffield do one.

The best thing you can do for your sc is to check the coolant pump is wired the correct way, ensuring correct cooling, most were wired backwards.
Hope this bumf all helps
Thumbs Up

hello scdavies
Have a look at my gallery for coolant pump info, just added it. Mostly in the UK you will not knotice as it does not get warm enough, and having an sc you probably drive like miss daisy most of the time.
I only had reduced power a couple of times in the uk, in very warm weather, but whilst in Monaco the sc always overheated due to 80mph and long up hill streatches. I bought a new coolant pump and filed the lug off the pump so the connector could be reversed.
let me know how you get on with sc oil change Thumbs Up [/img]

Besides seeing that it's wired wrong, is there any indication (mechanically/performance) that it is?

Guess there's really no way to know if there's been any mechanical damage done due to an improperly wired pump, right?

Thanks in advance for the answers! Thumbs Up '12 RRS SC

hello USAFBuckeye
sorry about the delayed response, been away for a few days,
Under normal use there should be very little heat related damage, as the impeller on the pump is still pumping round the coolant, just not as fast as it needs to when under great load.
I only noticed, when getting reduced power message on display, on very hot days in the uk and when I had been drivingly spritely. Whilst in Monaco, where the speed limit is approx. 80mph and the roads, long and steep. I constantly had reduced power due to sc getting warm, but due to the rrs putting the vehicle in reduced power mode, the sc cools very quickly minimising any chance of damage.
In hot weather I now get better mpg since changing the sc coolant pump, ive even had it up to an average of 21mpg on a tank (not that mpg is an issue on an sc Whistle )

Hey Shepp,

No worries and thanks for the reply. I had no idea this was an issue for the RRS, but thanks for posting such detailed and helpful instructions! '12 RRS SC
