2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Tailgate opens automatically when driving

Hi, has anyone had this problem. This happens everytime I start up and drive off. The tailgate opens automatically and I have to stop and close it . The tailgate then stays closed for the duration of the journey.
When the RRS is stopped and then restarted this happens over again. Obviously an electrical fault but has anyone any idea how to fix this?

your upper tailgate switch probably is corroded this happened to mine which eventually led to battery drain

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Used to happen when I had the key fob Land Rover button programmed to open the tailgate. Must have been pressing the button by mistake. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
