2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
90k Service

Just booked my RRS in for 90k service at Chipperfield Land Rover. Quoted me £600.
Is this reasonable????
I also got quoted £687 at Hadley Green Land Rover so I am obviously happy to pay £87 less for the same service!!!!!!

Also I need to get the belts changed. Chipperfield quoted me £1200 for the service and belts changed. Hadley Green quoted another £981 on top of the service price and would not do a combined price. I have not booked this yet as I thought I would get the belts done at an independant. How much should I be looking at paying??? and can anybody recommend any in the Herts area.

Thanks

Simon.

An indy will do a full B service for around £350 + VAT.
And for the belts, there are places advertising them for £280 + VAT

Thumbs Up

Right tried that place you suggested Paddi - £630 plus VAT!!!!! So cheaper if I went to the main delaer.

Done quite a bit of ringing around - have found an Indy that will do it for £450 in Barnet.

I thought about using an indy for the service but as the Sport as full LRSH i should keep this up as worth more when coming to sell it!!!

So in summary - £600 for main dealer service and £450 for independant belt change.
Does this sound reasonable or any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I doubt that very much. Certainly I doubt you'll get your £150 back. A full service history is important, yes, but so long as the stamps are from someone who specialises in the marque then indie servicing won't be a problem.

Indeed, anyone who has experienced modern LR dealers will probably look on indie servicing as a good thing... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Shocked Very surprised by that. Are you sure they were just quoting for the service and not including the belt change? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
