It's now in the hands of Land Rover still early stage yet but the price quoted to fix the rattle is £1,200 and nobody wants to stand it, if it was just a little rattle from the glovebox ok, but it's deep down in the dash around the bottom of the windscreen somewhere that's just not possible for me to find or repair myself and definety because of its location not due to miss use. |

Sounds a bit like mine. At 9 months old, the part between the screen and dash, started peeling and discolouring. Only cure was replacement so dash was replaced. 7 weeks later the car was ready to collect due to the one person who printed replacement chassis numbers sticker being on long term leave. Yeh even I had my doubts about only one person being in charge of this in entire factory.

Very few warranties cover 'rattles' in themselves and- after 6 months- you'll be lucky. Thse are complex vehicles and, salesmen are skilled at expressing opinions rather than facts - immaculate. pristine etc are all subjective phrases that wouldn't stand scrutiny in a court. There's a lesson here which is never buy unseen and never accept delivery unless you're 100% happy with the car, the dealer and the deal. |
