Kenya 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
RR Sport 2010 TDV8 Engine Light and Restricted Performance

Need help ! Just picked up my newly imported 2010 TDV8. Upon first keyless starting, had a Restricted Perfromance on the dash and engine light ON. I relaized there was no diesel in the car, filled up, reset the car few times (switch On and OFF), still no change.
Next Hour, made it to a workshop with a Launch scanner - scanner read Turbo B booster performance error, cleared that, engine light went off but red triangular light stayed on. Drove for 10 mins, suddenly all hell broke lose and all my warnings came on, from 'Lean when cornering' to Transmission Fault' , 'Special programs Off' 'Forward Alert' and 'Park Brake Failure'...I am terrified on the first day of getting this ...
Someone please help and advise. Whats happened here to a fairly new low mileage car from a reputed dealer in UK ... Amir Mughal

You do need to scan the error codes so somebody can help you, also get the battery voltage checked and recharged if required, lot's of weird gremlins can be caused by low battery output.... Thumbs Up Java RRS Supercharged + Jaguar STR Supercharged, = Oil Refinery.... Smile

Agreed, first thing to do is check out the battery. You should see somewhere in the region of 12V when the engine is not running, rising to about 14V when the alternator recharges the battery after starting. The battery might in a poor condition after being imported. It might just need a proper recharge with a battery conditioner or it might even need replacing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
