Guys, enlighten me! I have had my last two vans chipped, the VITO was a re map by Superchips and that worked well! My current Transporter 2.5 had a box that I took off to have some warranty work done and because it was such a pain in the arse to get off I couldn't be bothered to go to all the hassle of putting it back on - I digress, what sort of power gains are achievable? I'm not looking for something that's going to need a runway, fuel economy is a concern, not for, me I drive a 5.0 sports car but only sometimes!! But SHMBO hates putting her shekels into the fuel tank. Then there's the problem of reliability. I've heard tails of blown engines and dealers refuting claims for replacement because they have been played with. Reading through the posts, Bell are the guys that know, but as I'm just going to take up an offer to Beta test the new IID tool which will allow me to re map my ECU, apparently.....I wouldn't need the Bell interface just the file. MY 11 RRS Luxury Stornoway Grey Ivory/Black leather contrast stitching Logic7 side steps roof DVD system for the grand daughter. Mercedes SL500 for the summer. Vito Sport X for work. Gone to many to list but what larks

Any remapping will invalidate the Land Rover Warranty - this is well known, if this is a consideration/concern, then wait until you dont have a warranty Mike

Yes, but with BAS you can remove the map before taking the car to the dealer or claiming warranty.

No one will ever know Wink '08 RRS TDV8

But we have established with any detailed investigation they will know...so just hope they dont do the investigation (or that you can take the map off before hand!!) Mike

But that is what I'm saying, you remove the map before taking the car to a dealer.

That is what I always do, before taking the car to the dealer, for whatever reason, I always put back the original map.
I might be wrong, but I believe doing that they should not be able to figure out the car was ever mapped. '08 RRS TDV8
