Just completed the detailing of my callipers

Well after a shaky start I finally completed the callipers an hour ago and what with the recent grille, side vents and detailing work bring my RRS modifications to a close, or at least for a while.

Here a few shots of the finished article.

Hi yeah I got them from here, they were the 100mm ones in white and yes they are heat proofed to withstand the heat. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

The decals were off eBay. Just search on brembo decals and there are tonnes there.

Can't copy the link but here is the seller. Be careful though as front ones are 100mm long.

Hi Sherlock,

Can you let me know what paint you used to do the calipers?

I am also interested in doing this mod to my RRS.

Thanks

James

That's right I had a 125 ml tin and only used half for all 4 callipers.

My advice is use wire wool, calliper dust cleaning aerosol, and pay attention to masking tape as you don't want to get pipes, brake pads etc painted. Also make sure you support your car with axle stands as you have to get under the arches so be careful.

I also found that the first coat of paint dried horribly as you just can't get a perfectly clean surface simply because of where you are working.

I applied 3 coats and again got my paint on eBay. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx
